Coutinho talks about Gerrard

Midfielder Philippe Coutinho caught the eye of Arsenal’s board of directors in the winter transfer window, but their efforts failed when the Brazilian moved to Aston Villa on loan. 

 Coutinho has brightened since returning to England.

Barca have an option to sell Coutinho worth 40 million euros and Aston Villa are ready to activate it. However, Villa have two problems in their pursuit of Coutinho’s signature. Firstly, his salary is too high compared to the average level of the team. Second, more importantly, Arsenal also wanted Coutinho and they pushed for a move in the summer, as reported by Fichajes. Barca is open to partners, as long as they receive at least 40 million euros for this deal.

Currently, Coutinho’s form is very impressive since returning to the foggy country. He has scored 4 goals and assisted 3 times for his teammates in 10 matches. He also won Villa’s Player of the Month award in February.

In that context, Villa will find a way to renegotiate the salary of the player born in 1992.
