The best players who have played for Real and PSG
Former midfielder Rio Ferdinand has defended coach Mauricio Pochettino after PSG were eliminated from the 1/8 round of the Champions League. Kylian Mbappe’s goal in the 39th minute gave the French team a 1-0 lead. However, the scenario turned completely upside down after halftime.
Karim Benzema took 17 minutes to excellently score a hat-trick, thereby helping Los Blancos win the final 3-1. This defeat has dealt a blow to PSG’s ambition to win the European Cup. As head coach, all criticism is directed at coach Pochettino.
Commenting to BT Sport, Ferdinand said: “I think the criticism against Pochettino is unfair considering the history of PSG. Many coaches have come here, won the national championship and failed in the Champions League. League.”.

Pochettino is under a lot of pressure.
” It’s not the first time, it’s happened for many years. PSG with their seasoned, attacking stars, a bunch of big-name stars; they absolutely have a chance to win the league,” he said.
” They’ve stopped in the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the final. Something has happened. This is a messed-up team. So I don’t think we should direct too much criticism towards Pochettino when This kind of failure has happened from season to season,” said Ferdinand.
” I think the coach has to create a culture of not panic. This team has big egos; there are genuine superstar players. That’s part of the job of management ,” said Ferdinand.
