Jorginho’s incredible 2021
Taking over the hot seat at Chelsea after Frank Lampard’s departure, coach Thomas Tuchel has brought positive things to the London team. They won the Champions League, the European Super Cup and recently the FIFA Club World Cup. It must be said that the German captain has brought many achievements in the international arena.
But in the leagues within England, Chelsea has not shown much. They have not yet won the Premier League, have just failed in the final of the League Cup (losing to Liverpool) and have won tickets to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Amidst the successes and failures of the Blues, Parimal has written an article listing the players who have performed poorly since coach Tuchel took charge.
1. Callum Hudson-Odoi

Hudson-Odoi does not have a stable position at Chelsea.
Hudson-Odoi has to suffer certain disadvantages when constantly changing positions. He was tested by coach Tuchel in the position of a full-back to a full-back. Human players are inherently a factor with speed and ability to handle the ball in a narrow range. But the consistency in the assigned role made him unable to create a highlight.
Hudson Odoi has only scored 3 goals, contributed 8 assists in 46/78 matches under coach Tuchel. The number is still modest compared to 8 goals and 9 assists after 52 games when coach Lampard was still in office.
2. Mark Alonso

Alonso no longer guarantees endurance.
With a 3-4-3 tactical scheme, coach Tuchel always requires the full-backs to move continuously, to support attack – defense rhythmically. But Alonso seems unable to secure his role when fitness does not allow. He has turned 31 and it is difficult to maintain perseverance.
Therefore, the Spaniard is the second choice at left-back after Ben Chilwell. And when the former Leicester City star was injured during the past time, Alonso was given the opportunity to play more often.
3. Christian Pulisic
The American player made Chelsea spend £ 57.5 million to recruit him from Borussia Dortmund in 2019. However, what Pulisic has shown so far has not been able to convince the Blues NHM. Injury was one of the factors that made his performance unsatisfactory. No 10 has only scored 10 goals and provided 8 assists in 54 matches under Tuchel’s reign.
4. Timo Werner

Werner has not met the expectations of Chelsea fans.
One name that brings disappointment in the Stamford Bridge team is Timo Werner. His form at RB Leipzig has been quite impressive. But when he went to Chelsea, especially under Tuchel, Werner did not find any optimistic signals. The German striker has scored 10 goals and 13 assists in 52 games since his compatriot came to London. And he still doesn’t seem to be used to the pace and rigors of the Premier League.
5. Romelu Lukaku
Summer 2021, Chelsea broke the club transfer record to bring Lukaku back. With what has been shown in the Inter Milan shirt, NHM The Blues expect him to solve all the attacks of the home team. However, things did not go according to the scenario that all wanted. The Belgian striker became less sharp and lost the main kick in the hands of Kai Havertz.
