Understanding Your Electric Bill

Idaho Power rates differ between summer and non-summer. Your total monthly energy usage also is billed in a three-tier rate structure in which rates increase with higher electric use.

With My Account you can:

  • Review your bill to date throughout the month
  • See high and low temperatures on daily usage graphs
  • View your daily and hourly electric usage to see how appliances and behaviors impact your bill

Complete the Home Profile to get a general analysis of how your home uses energy, from appliances to heating or cooling, and find ideas on how to reduce your energy use. Your most recent bill will provide everything you’ll need to register online.

Considering Payment Options

If you’re having difficulty paying your electric bill we offer options that may help, such as payment arrangements or providing information for energy assistance available in your community. You may want to consider leveling out your electric bill over 12 months with Budget Pay, for example.
